An exciting opportunity for a effective and experienced E Commerce/Marketing Manager to join a well established organisation which has enjoyed steady growth over the last 12 years. Ideally the candidate will manage the launch of a new reconfigured retail site created on an open source Magento platform and to drive on line sales to the new site, together with overseeing the marketing and launch of a new bespoke trade site and its future success and development. Both websites link directly to the Company’s ERP.

Key responsibilities for the E Commerce/Marketing Manager;

  • Coordinate and Develop a marketing strategy
  • Oversee day-to-day management of the company websites
  • Ensure design, layout, content and navigation are highly relevant
  • Ensure that websites and other online marketing efforts use the latest effective technology
  • Analyse web traffic, web sales metrics, and web customer demographics Develop recommended changes
  • Lead the creative development and implementation of design concepts
  • Develop and manage new marketing initiatives

The ideal E Commerce/Marketing Manager will need;

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience desired
  • Previous marketing experience with specific responsibility for E-Commerce and managing web content
  • Technically oriented with expert understanding of website technologies,
  • Direct experience developing, managing, and contributing to web sites through a content management system similar to Magento
  • Direct experience managing the design, creation, and operation of corporate web sites, including online sales, social networking and media for lead generation, brand enhancement, and SEO
  • Demonstrated drive to be on the leading edge of web technologies
  • Ability to understand the Company’s products and services and how they fit the marketplace
  • Excellent project management skills and accurate copy writing skills
  • Ability to critique, verify and test web pages on various browsers
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Dreamweaver Illustrator
  • Photoshop, and a CMS such as Magento
  • Experience with CSS, HTML, JavaScript, etc

Previous management experience not essential but preferred. Would suit a marketing executive with the relevant commercial skills and experience who is seeking a step up to management.
