Dispensary Pharmacist - Rare Pharmaceutical Industry Role

The Role:

A rare role to work as a dispensary pharmacist for a leading pharmaceutical industry company based in the North West.

Your role will be in the order processing, checking and approval of asceptically prepared parenteral nutritional and feed products for patients in the community.  The service supports hospital asceptics units as well as delivering feed bags direct to patient homes and is a vital service for patients with complex clinical needs.

Your responsibilities in this position will be:

  • To ensure products are manufactured to the correct standards and that SOPs and GMP are followed. 
  • To liaise with other pharmacists within the team to ensure stability of the products ordered and liaise with prescribers if changes are required.
  • To approve orders for production and then check completed product specifications sheets against the original prescription before approving the product for release and delivery.
  • Working to deadlines and brings in logistical and organisational skills working within a team environment.

Package:

  • This is a permanent role but there may also be a fixed-term contract available.
  • Salary - Negotiable and competitive based on experience and performance at interview (40k plus).

Candidate Requirements:

  • You MUST be an General Pharmaceutical Council registered Pharmacist with previous experience working in pharmacy in the UK
  • The successful candidate for this role would ideally have a clinical pharmacy background with appropriate asceptic experience - however this is not an essential pre-requisite.
  • You must be diligent, able to work consistently to deadlines and in a fast-paced environment.
  • You must have excellent communication skills and be someone who is driven to succeed.
