Organisation Description

This key player in the Northern Ireland Life Sciences sector is looking to add value to their team by the addition of an experienced Production and Despatch Supervisor.

Job Description

The supervisor role will be to manage the day to day processes, employees and communication in order to complete the business requirements for all sales orders assembly and despatch.

Key Responsibilities:

·    To ensure the day’s workload is produced and completed

·    To manage the employee resource requirement to complete the job

·    Manage exception reporting of unfulfilled orders and communicated reports

·    Ensure dispatch processes and procedures are followed and managed

·    Ensure all employees are fully trained to perform their tasks

·    Ensure all orders are completed and systems updated accordingly.

·    To have the ability to monitor day to day operational activity to ensure each person has the necessary skills and competence to complete their allocated task.

·    To provide dispatch based information for daily meetings

·    To be computer literate with full knowledge of Microsoft Office

Person Specification

Skills/Experience Required

·    Ability to work within a fast-paced environment

·    Ability to manage staffing levels in line with budgetary requirements

·    Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organisation; this includes written and verbal communications

·    Previous supervisory experience/ excellent man management skills

·    Qualification and/or Diagnostic Production experience in Biomedical Science, Biology or Chemistry
