Pursuit Finance is delighted to be working exclusively with an innovative & creative business in the recruitment of a Director of Finance. The business has experienced consistent growth during the last 3 years, which is expected to continue into the future.
The position of Director of Finance represents a great opportunity to take a leading role in guiding the business through its next stage of growth and development and, therefore, requires an outstanding individual to take up the post.
Overall responsibilities will including managing a finance team at a brand new ‘state of the art’ facility based in north Essex, taking full responsibility for working with other business units to ensure they stay within their annual budgets to ensure financial sustainability, take responsibility for collating statutory and non-statutory reporting, preparing new business units for financial implementation, and financially run the 3 central companies within the Group.
The role is strategic, so will involve management of staff, planning and development of business opportunities and project management of budgets, together with overseeing the preparation of the draft annual budget for the Group and each business unit. You will also be required to monitor expenditure against budgets and identify and resolve any over/underspends within Business Unit Controllers and other senior managers within the organisation.
This role represents a No 1 finance position with a direct reporting line into the CEO, and therefore requires an experienced accounts professional who holds a recognised qualification (ACA, ACMA, ACCA, or equivalent) who is used to working at a senior level and has recent experience of managing a team. It is essential that you have experience of managing large budgets and in formulating and implementing policies and procedures.
Your personality is key in this role, as is your ability to enthuse and motivate those around you, and be able to work effectively in a diverse team environment.
The role involves travel throughout the UK, so it is essential that you are willing to travel on a regular basis.
