An opportunity has now arisen for a talented Development Team Lead to join their team.

Joining a friendly and open working culture, your role will combine hands-on software development and the maintenance of our client’s systems, whilst providing effective and efficient leadership to your team.

The applications currently developed in-house cover a broad range of technologies, such as Java, J2EE and Oracle database.

As the Development Team Lead, you will ensure your team operates according to software development, support and maintenance best practice.

Your duties will include:

- Performing system developments and maintaining the appropriate documentation
- Mentoring junior staff to develop their skills
- Establishing and maintaining the technical roadmap for applications under your control
- Building a happy, productive and motivated team

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have experience of the following:

- Providing 3rd line support
- Java, J2EE, jQuery, JSP, HTML, JavaScript, Oracle and AJAX

As the Development Team Lead, you’ll be adaptable and flexible to meet work demands and possess first class communication and interpersonal skills. You will also be practical and well organised, open-minded, self-motivated, and have a can-do attitude.

Whilst not essential, experience of developing business applications, ideally within the financial or leasing business sector, would be beneficial to your application, as would experience within an Agile or Scrum environment.

Expertise in any of the following technologies would also be an advantage: XML, JAXB, EJB, Hibernate, Web Services and/or Spring Framework.
