Our client is currently seeking an experienced Development Engineer to work on a number of high profile projects. This role will be based in Shaftesbury and is to start as soon as possible.
You will work collaboratively with a small team and be responsible for implementing technical solutions as well as strategic decisions for various elements of the projects in development.
The role will have the following duties and responsibilities: Hands on responsibilities for development of the projects; To act in both lead and support develop roles on projects, liasing between Project Managers and other Developers; To identify future trends in technology and other related areas and use these trends to the company's advantage
Only candidates who meet the following essential criteria will be short-listed for interview:
Experience developing software with: .Net C#; AS3l; AIR; SQL; Webservices
Comprehensive understanding and experience of software development:
Web, desktop and mobile (inc. IOS and Android) applications, that are: UI and graphic rich; Intuitive (forgiving to user inexperience or error); Data driven; Connected; Optimised.
Using: OO; UML; Design patterns; SVN; Architecture before programming methodologies
Working practice to include: Self-motivated; Positive, can do attitude; Willing to work solo and in a team; Keen to push technical boundaries; Able to hit agreed deadlines; Be consistent with design and coding standards; Willing to learn new languages and technologies; Willing to work on a wide-range of software development, from front-end to back-end, to ensure that the 2 are joined seamlessly together; Willing to work in-house, with possible option to work from home occasionally
Working Hours: 9.30am to 6pm Monday - Friday (37.5 hours - flexible shifts available). Salary up to £35k depending on skills, qualifications and experience.
