Strive Supply Chain are delighted to assist our client, a true market leader and FMCG distributor in their search for an exceptional Depot Manager to lead site operations, to be based at their distribution facility in Peterborough.

As an already experienced senior manager with site leadership experience and preferably from a 3PL, Freight, Parcels, FMCG or Retail driven distribution background you will lead your team of colleagues via direct reports to achieve expected performance against budget within this fast paced environment. You will be responsible for the effective and efficient operation of the depot consistently achieving high standards of customer service measured by site essential KPI’s of performance, quality and cost. Experience of compliancy driven environments and promotion of a continuous improvement philosophy will be very beneficial.

As a natural leader and motivator you will be a confident driver of people and positive culture, leading your team to surpass site productivity targets, maintaining above standard levels of site H&S and security. You will be skilled in building effective relationships with customers, both internal and external, with experience of new contract/client implementations beneficial. Fully responsible for site P/L, succession and development planning, you will thrive within a growing business, translating business strategy into real-time performance.

Therefore your communication & influencing skills will be excellent at all levels, making effective decisions within an often pressurized distribution environment. Preferably you will be experienced in modern methods of distribution and associated technologies, engineering, WMS, with excellent IT skills, striving for business excellence and with a keen eye for continuous improvement and reduction of waste/cost across all elements of the operation.
