Our Farnborough based client is looking to expand their Supply Chain team with 2 new Demand Planners
Our client works with well known brands within their niche and exciting industry.
Working in nice offices within a friendly and dynamic team, this is an excellent opportunity to combine your strong forecasting and excellent customer/stakeholder service skills.
Job Description
The overall focus of this position is to provide accurate demand plans to ensure that stock is at a correct level while also reducing transportation costs from between internal manufacturing and warehousing sites.
Key duties to include:
Utilising SAP to process sales orders along with the management of invoicing without error or delay.
Utilising the forecasting tool to monitor, analyse and generate accurate long terms forecasts to enable sufficient stock levels to meet the customers demand whilst maximizing ocean freight and enabling better capacity planning within our plants.
React to customer changing demands with liaison between customers, supply managers, Logistics, Account managers and warehousing agent
? Follow Business flow
? Create customer forecasts and demand forecasts.
? Process sales orders
? Ensure that all documentation is provided to relevant parties - invoices, packing lists and tracking information.
? Regular liaison with customer to ensure demand and supply is balanced to best fulfil customer requirements.
? Maintain and manage filing systems with regular archiving.
? Face to face meetings when appropriate, to ensure good customer relationships.
? SAP data management: material and price set up, new account set up
? Support to Account Managers and support to Supply Chain team members during absences.
Person Specification
Desired skills include,
? A good understanding of supply chain processes and strategy.
? Previous experience with supply of product to Europe and North Africa.
? Excellent Excel skills
? Experience of forecasting
? Proactive and independent attitude to work
? Good communication skills, sense of urgency
? Second language is an advantage - Polish, Turkish, Arabic or European would all be beneficial
