Role

 Data Center Manager for two regional datacenters (AMS) + one remote datacenter dedicated to Outsourcing Contract to finance customer· Interacts with our client delivery organization and customer delivery and project counterpartso   Internal alignment: Work closely with the our clients SDM’s (Service Delivery Managers), dedicated Data Center Change Manager and dedicated Architecto   External alignment: to work closely with customer counterparts and project team members running projects in the data centers·         Works with the Amsterdam office and travels frequently to Hoofddorp and Data Centers within the Amsterdam area.Reports to country head BLX with dotted lines (functional) to Service Delivery Manager (local) and U Head Service Delivery (UK based)

Responsibilities

  • Act as the SPOC for Data Center related activities
  • Develop and administer environmental, health, safety and security programs
  • Develop future data center initiatives in order to meet the needs for reliable Data Center resources
  • Provide monthly and yearly facilities reports 
  • Comprehensive annual inspections
  • Communicate with IT Working partners, Data Center Clients and management
  • Communicate, train and review the processes with all employees
  • Update and Maintain Data Center Processes, change management, daily operations, outage and emergency processes 
  • Participate in a comprehensive inspection, maintenance and update process
  • Plan, coordinate and manage installation and maintenance activities
  • Supervise and direct all Data Center staff
  • Troubleshooting and resolution of Data Center infrastructure problems
  • On call 24 hour Data Center Operations management to ensure the Data Center Facility is always functional

Past Experience

  • Experience with working in global, virtual teams
  • Experience in working in volatile and high demanding, frequent changing environments
  • Fluent English
  • Experience on top of main data center technologies, high level understanding of experience with:
  • VMware, Storage (performance tiers, zoning)Linux, Windows, Databases, Networking (Datacenter LAN, WAN, Firewalling), Monitoring solutions, Identity and Access Management
