Due to our recent international success The Cobra Project is now critical to the future of Rotork. A standard solution covering all key activities in every subsidiary has been identified of strategic importance to the growth and expansion of both the Rotork global business, and the range of products and services sold and delivered by every subsidiary globally. Cobra is an integrated ERP system based on Microsoft Dynamics AX2009, delivering best practice processes, systems, reports and on-line access to information.


THE ROLE
Reporting to the Cobra Project Manager/Cobra Competence Centre Manager, you will liaise with key stakeholders of the Cobra Project, understanding their business information needs, proving solutions to them, and managing the resulting business change needed to enforce the benefits. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the Cobra project is credible, relevant, and a high priority business change initiative to the Rotork subsidiary staff.
  • Demonstrating the quality, functionality, and ease of use of the new system and processes.
  • Engaging the subsidiary management and staff, and securing their commitment, contribution, and time to the implementation work.
  • Educating staff and management in the new Cobra concepts, principles, and terminology, and training them in the use of the data, reporting, and information enquiry capabilities of the new system.
  • Ensuring that when Dynamics AX goes live in every in-market subsidiary it is pre-loaded with complete and accurate master and transaction data, and has a standard set of pre-defined reports and enquiries for each business area.
  • Following the implementation methodology, and delivering the benefits to the subsidiaries in a controlled way.
  • Testing and implementing the Cobra data, reporting, and information enquiry processes and systems in the Rotork subsidiaries worldwide, ensuring the defined business and IT performance requirements are met.
  • Taking ownership for the data conversion process (collating data from multiple systems and importing it into the new AX system), report writing, and the content of role centre dashboards.
  • Identifying subsidiary Super Users, training them, and supporting them in building their capabilities to become change leaders, process champions, and system experts within the subsidiary business.
  • Communicating with Process Owners, HSO Consultants and the Cobra Competence Centre to share essential information about the roll-out.
  • Reporting progress to the Cobra Roll-out Centre Manager, Cobra Project Manager and Project Director, to resolve issues related to the Cobra solution and its deployment in the subsidiary.


THE PERSON
You will ideally possess a first class degree or equivalent in an information systems or technology related discipline, with a qualification in an Engineering, Management, Supply Chain, or Financial discipline. You will have experience of business change management and process design, software implementation of MS Dynamics AX or other similar tier 1 ERP applications, and of working in a multi-national engineering or supply chain organisation. You will have a good working knowledge of MS Dynamics AX 2009 software functionality including areas of AX Financials, Trade and Logistics, and Manufacturing. In addition you will need good business consultancy skills, and an understanding of the key issues and drivers in all principal business functions of Finance, Operations, and Service.

You will have excellent organisational and communication skills, both written and verbal, with a passion for using accurate data to analyse business performance. You will be able to work to conflicting deadlines whilst ensuring a high level of attention to detail throughout. In addition, you will be able to effectively use data analysis tools and applications, and possess strong MS Office skills including Excel and Atlas.
