1. Data Protection Consultant
One of our clients is looking at a data protection initiative - the requirement involves interpreting data protection legislation & challenging its application within the bank in terms of;
• ensuring compliance on a cost effective basis,
• not creating unnecessary barriers to doing business,
• not encouraging personnel to try to work around standards and creating breach which may have a knock-on impact on behaviour & culture beyond this area.
The successful consultant would need a strong / expert understanding of the data protection legislation and how it is applied in practice and would also need to have the gravitas to interact with senior management in addition to challenging existing thinking and practices within the bank. This goes beyond just data\ IT security.
