As Data Protection Analyst you will manage, support and deliver sound operational services to the Group and its Partners through the development of the Data Protection Act 1998, the Freedom of Information Act 2000, the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (Lawful Business Practices) by maintaining and operating appropriate frameworks, policies, standards, systems, controls and approval and escalation processes to ensure full compliance and good Information Governance and Security Handling.
You will manage operational activities for the Group and its Partners in relation to Data Protection, Freedom of Information and Security by ensuring the continued development and delivery of the organisations Data Protection compliance infrastructure and systems.
To lead, identify, support, manage and practically apply relevant Data Protection Incident and Breach Management systems and methodologies by supporting partners in preventing, managing and mitigating the risks of all reported security incidents.
The ideal candidates will be experienced in Data protection / information security. Ideally you will be educated to Degree level or equivalent, an ISEB Data Protection qualification and experience or relevant qualifications would be desirable.
You will also have:
- A good level of experience and knowledge of managing and developing preventative and reactive solutions to Information Governance and Security.
- Comprehensive knowledge, skills and abilities in implementing and managing the full requirements of the Data Protection Act, Freedom of Information Act, Information Security, Information Governance.
- Some knowledge or awareness of Computer Misuse Act connecting legislation and regulations would be advantageous.
- Practical experience of applying all the provisions relating to the Data Protection Act 1998, Subject Access Request, Notification, Privacy Impact Assessments and Individuals Rights.
