Working for a reputable financial services organisation based in Chelmsford, we are recruiting an enthusiastic data analyst.

The role forms an important part of the Customer Experience department, supporting the Intermediary Data Services team and wider department.

The team is responsible for setting up and maintaining details of advisers firms and fund level data, including discount and commission terms, adviser firm structures, novations, adviser fee models and trail rebate. The Data and Controls role will involve database interrogation, report and query creation/reconciliation and control report analysis. All of which require the following attributes:

  • Knowledge of SQL
  • Be able to perform a variety of tasks to the required standard with high levels of accuracy and consistency, with minimal supervision and be relied upon to meet and often exceed all accuracy and quality targets
  • Database analysis for all teams within Customer Experience
  • PC literate, comfortable working with Excel and Word
  • Have good organisational skills and ability to meet and often exceed tight deadlines, showing the understanding of the importance of the stated deadline
  • Resolve errors promptly according to procedures
  • Proactively keep Team Leaders updated with current status of work and any extraordinary issues
  • Update various statistical and Management Information reports
  • Ensure deadlines are met daily
  • Ensure Compliance and Regulatory requirements are met, with guidance of other team members and team leader
  • Run and analyse daily control reports
  • Constantly re-assess processes and procedures and make recommendations for enhancements
  • The role is central to our clients offering and as such involves interaction with several internal departments including, Sales, New and Existing Business, Contact Centre, Service Delivery, Complaints, IT, Institutional and Marketing
  • The role requires regular interaction with both Fund Managers and Adviser Firms


Qualifications:

Good standard of GCSE English and Maths. Higher level of education desirable (e.g. A Level)

Experience:

Experience of working in a similar Operations role or environment desirable but not essential

Financial Services background desirable but not essential

Flexibility to move from one function to another, with relevant training and support, whenever required

Skills:

PC literate and comfortable working with SQL, Excel and Word

Confident approach to new challenges and ability to learn and understand new processes quickly and in detail.

Due to the location of this role, we are only considering candidates who are within commutable distance to Chelmsford. Our client is located close to the train station and all bus routes into Chelmsford.
