Customer / Technical Support Engineer (Renewable Energy)

Our well established Leicestershire based client that supply Wind Turbines, Anaerobic Digesters and PV solar panels requires a Customer / Technical Support Engineer on a permanent basis. 

Working within the After Sales Department, responsibilities will include but not limited to the following, reporting to the Installation / Service Manager:

  • Provide technical advice and support to customers and field based engineers.
  • Successfully supports the portfolio of in-service equipment achieving customer requirements.
  • Respond to customer requests for support of advice ensuring effective resolution of customer requirements.
  • Analyse and resolve equipment breakdowns, coordinate service / breakdown scheduling.
  • Develop, maintain and improve relationships with the customer by providing expert advice and acting as a specialist resource.
  • To work within a team of Engineers to maintain and improve productivity and efficiency whilst developing in a stable team based environment.
  • To provide superior individual performance through excellent customer service.
  • Develop, maintain and improve relationships with the customer by acting as a specialist resource.
  • To seek and action all commercial opportunities through the issue of correct contact procedures.
  • To follow company procedures to ensure fast and efficient customer service. 

The ideal Customer / Technical Support Engineer will have the following: 

  • Can demonstrate good customer facing skills.
  • Committed to resolving customer queries, concerns and problems.
  • Advantage fork truck / tele-handler license.
  • Have a mechanical / electrical engineering qualification (ONC / HNC or equivalent)
  • Displays a good working knowledge of electrical control panels and have the ability to read wiring diagrams.
  • Preferably have a background in the Renewable Energy sector
  • Can demonstrate good computing operating skills
  • Have a hands-on approach and the ability to develop training skills
  • Have a valid clean driving license
  • Will work a reasonable amount of overtime and be prepared to travel and stay away from home on occasion. 

In return our client is offering a salary of £25k per annum.  Hours of work are Monday to Friday 40 hours.
