This is an exciting opportunity to join Vodafone UK in a Customer Support Environment role within the Unified Communications Fixed Line department. The role is based at Vodafone’s office in Burton-upon-Trent. 

Join Vodafone Fixed Networks thriving and growing team to be a key player on the operational side of the business.  Specific responsibility will be for ensuring that all Vodafone Fixed Networks customers are fully supported with a high level of customer service.  This person will be responsible for reporting faults within SLA and the provisioning and placing of orders within lead times.  The main focus of this role will be to ensure that any fault that enters the company is dealt with straight away, and ensure that all parties are up to date through to resolution.

As a Fixed Line Customer Support Consultant your main responsibilities will involve:

• Ensure all phone calls are answered in a timely and professional manner
• To log all fault calls immediately on receipt and follow thorough within SLA’s
• Place orders to relevant suppliers within in 24 hours of receipt
• Keep all notes, correspondence logged on billing system
• Communicate order statuses to relevant stakeholders
• Managing your own workload
• Ensure all system engineers, etc are in place on install day
• Day after install ensure all has been completed
• Ensure all Master sheets and Contract log is up to date

As a Fixed Line Customer Support Consultant your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

• Experience of working with fixed lines, knowledge of Openreach WLR2 or WLR3 or broadband knowledge is highly desirable but not essential.
• A good understanding of Microsoft Office applications, Word, Excel & Outlook.
• Having energy, drive and enthusiasm for the product and sector
• Excellent communication & organisation skills
• Strong communication and decision making skills with the ability to balance conflicting interests.
• The ability to be an effective team player
• Exceptional customer relationship skills at all levels
• Remain calm and professional under pressure
• Problem resolution experience
• Can do attitude and a delivery focused outlook

The role requires excellent stakeholder management skills and a lot of time working closely with our customers, so a professional approach is essential. The desire to move up within the telecoms sector is also important as this role is a great way to step into Account Management or more technical roles in the future.
