Job Title: Customer Insight Analyst -SAS-Credit Cards
Location: London
Salary: to £40,000 + London Allowance, Bonus and Benefits

The spend team has two key objectives-to diversify income by increasing fee revenue from additional products and services, and to drive spend and loyalty on the credit card portfolio. As a Senior Analyst within the team, you will play an integral role in developing strategies and implementing initiatives across both of these areas. It is a key role, requiring the ability to think commercially, structure analysis, solve problems and influence across the organisation.

Responsibilities

1. Driving fee revenue
- Support the delivery of specific initiatives within the fees strategy, from analysis through to implementation. This will include problem solving, presenting to senior management within the Cards business and managing approval processes.
- Provide analysis and insight to support fee strategy development. This will require an understanding of the databases and an ability to use SAS and SQL to extract information on customer behaviour.

2. Spend strategy
- Support the development of a spend strategy and deliver initiatives within. This could include:
o Working with Finance on portfolio analysis
o Conducting analysis on competitors and market trends
o Reporting authorisations rates and understanding trends
o Using SAS and SQL to analyse spend and product upgrade campaigns

Candidate Profile

- Strong numeracy skills, best evidenced through a degree (2.1 or above) in maths, science, engineering, economics, operational research or similar
- MS Office - Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook
- Analytical: ability to interrogate and manipulate data to (a) ensure data integrity (b) provide insight and recommendations
- Self/ work organisation: ability to manage a variety of tasks, working within a matrix organisation. Examples could include campaign management, customer communication material, customer research briefs etc.
- Presentation/ facilitation: ability to prepare presentations to communicate findings and facilitate discussions
- Communication: Good written and verbal communication skills
- Programming skills are preferred but not essential. SAS/ SQL skills will be taught on the job
