Our client is a business-led, award winning consultancy and software developer, serving the mid-market. They are seeking a Crystal Reports Consultant to work from it's offices in either Stratford St Mary (Colchester) or Harpenden (Hertfordshire).

Its consulting services are backed by 65 accredited consultants, who operate nationally out of nine offices in the UK and Ireland.

Our clients software portfolio provides solutions to meet the needs of the whole organisation, helping to reduce complexity and increase efficiencies at every level. They are looking to recruit a motivated Crystal Report Consultant to engage with key clients.

The Role:

You will be responsible for writing or modifying crystal reports for key clients and for internal projects ensuring consistent methodology and best practice is followed at all times. Taking ownership of the entire report writing process from requirement gathering through to testing, delivery and bug fixing, you will become a figure head for report writing within the company.

Essential Skills:

- Experience in development of reports in Crystal Reports 9, 10, XI, 2011
- Experience writing SQL views to manipulate data
- Minimum 2 years experience of writing reports and SQL views
- Demonstrable fluency in writing crystal reports using ODBC or OLEDB
- Fluency in the use of SQL to manipulate data in a SQL Server database
- Ability to work on multiple projects and reports at any one time
- Experience working in customer facing role
- Commercial awareness

Desirable Skills:

- Knowledge of Accounting, MRP and PSA software
- Experience in customer facing role writing SQL Stored procedures

*This role will include frequent travel nationwide which may include overnight stays. There may also be occasional international travel as part of the role*
