Credit Risk Manager - Key Senior Appointment

We are currently recruiting for an exciting newly designed position, with one of the UK's largest privately owned businesses. A business that has achieved rapid international growth in the last 20 years, with a blue chip customer portfolio and an annual turnover in the region of £10 billion.  Based at their modern Manchester offices, with a competitive base salary, bonus and benefits, our client is looking for a finance professional with an exemplary record in Risk and Credit Management.

In terms of skill set, it is very much Credit Risk first, and Credit Control second. Our client requires a high calibre finance professional who is capable of taking care of all the day to day Credit Management (cash allocation, cash collection, supervising the Credit Controller, managing the Credit Insurance etc...) but also a consummate Credit Risk professional.  More precisely, a candidate who can analyse a set of customer accounts, to credit assess company data and report back recommendations. The Ledger comprises of low volume but high value. 

You will also lead the "Supply Chain Counterparty Review", whereby you will be working in collaboration with other functions, the treasury and finance group to lead the examination of supplier profiles to protect the company and help manage cash flow and payments.  This is a key senior appointment for our client, reporting directly to the Head of Financial Control & Operations. It will involve building rapport both internally and externally, and require a self-confident, robust and talented professional who has a gravitas that forge strong links with both the Commercial Team and Traders based in London. 

Our client will consider candidates who are ICM/ACCA/ACA/CIMA Qualified or Qualified by Experience. A background in Trading / Financial Services would be advantageous but by no means a prerequisite.
