Our Client is currently seeking a Cost Accountant who has experience working in Manufacturing environment.
Job Description
In this role you will need to apply advanced costing techniques for cost and inventory analysis/controls, ensure the integrity of data and accurate MIS reporting to enable the effective decision making process.
Analysing actual manufacturing costs, comparing standard costs to actual and preparing periodic reports on variances.
Evaluate the cause of variance and ensure appropriate controls and continuous improvement.
Review and modify the controls needed for data collection and cost reporting systems.
Periodical revision of standard costing of the manufacturing products.
Ensure controls to avoid purchasing unneeded inventory which may increase the carrying cost and block working capital.
Lead annual physical inventories verification process and monitor cycle count programs.
Monitor cost saving areas and also evaluate for new areas and advise management.
Liaise with Chief accountant and assisting in month-end close of the General Ledger periodical closing and MIS reporting.
Budget preparation and effective budgetary control.
Analyzing capital budgeting request.
Person Specification
• Solid cost accounting experience
• Ability to prepare accurate periodic reports.
• Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail
• Good verbal and written communication skills (English)
• Experience of computerized accounting systems ERP & Microsoft Excel
• Good organizing and interpersonal skills
• Sound understanding of accounting principle
