St Austell DBC1313 - Cost Accountant £18-25k + Bens
My client, a market leader in its field, is seeking a Cost Accountant to join their finance team. Working with operations managers, the main purpose of the role is to produce accurate, yet challenging budgets & quarterly forecasts and to create clear and concise presentations for senior management.
Duties will include:
• Assisting with the preparation & analysis of regular
KPIs to enable efficiencies & profitability to be
monitored
• Financial support & reporting for various income
avenues and challenge monthly results with
managers
• Preparation of reports & analyses to enable local
management to control the processes, to include
historical reporting against prior
year/budget/forecasting and variance analysis,
together with future performance, trend analysis and
longer term planning.
• Assisting with costing, cost modelling, process
costing and recovery management.
The ideal candidate:
• Will be AAT qualified or working towards CIMA/ACCA
• Will ideally have experience of working in a cost
management role
• Have excellent data analysis skills
• Have outstanding IT skills, in particular Excel
• Will be self-motivated, proactive and with an eye for
improving reporting processes
