Cost Accountant

**COST ACCOUNTANT** 3 MONTH TEMPORARY CONTRACT, HARLOW, £12.00 to £16.00 PER HOUR, TO START ASAP

Our client, based in Harlow, is currently looking to recruit for an experienced Cost Accountant on a 3 month contract, who will be responsible for implementing and maintain a costing system for the business.

Main Duties:

• To calculate product/job costings
• Develop product costing information
• Review, develop and update Bills of Materials (BOM) and route sheets with Production Managers to ensure that they are accurate.  Progress any changes required through our quality system.
• Calculate current labour costing for review by Management
• Calculate product/market margins and profitability
• Develop a system to produce product costing for the development of future products

Quality:

• Use, write and develop applicable quality work instructions and procedures
• Assist in the quality control processes and recommend any corrective actions required

Team Working:

• Working closely with the Finance & Office Manager, Operations Director & Production Managers
• To communicate in an open, honest and professional manner with all staff members
• To be professional at all times
• To comply with policies & procedures relating to Health & Safety and Quality Management
• Assist from time to time with the training of new personnel
