Job Description
A Cost Accountant is required to work as part of a small team. Specific duties include:
- Costing, especially costing exercises on new products
- Month end reporting & production of monthly reports for accounting pack
- Adding & altering Bills of Materials
- Preparation of monthly accounts within a strict 3 day deadline
- Monthly cost centre analysis
- Production & distribution of monthly pack
- Reporting monthly figures to Head Office via Hyperion
- Reporting stock information to different countries
- Submission of utilities information to Head Office
- Looking at utilities budget & monitoring actual costs
This is an excellent opportunity to work as part of a close knit team in a pleasant office environment.
Person Specification
You must to be a Qualified or Qualified by Experience Accountant with extensive experience in standard & actual costings and a strong background in the manufacturing sector, preferably having previously carried out a Cost Accountant role. You must be a good communicator and team player as you will be working as part of a small team. You will need to be confident in doing Bills of Materials and you need to be very process driven. You should be fully conversant in Excel and Integrated Manufacturing systems, and have previously done variance analysis. You need to be able to work well under pressure in order to meet deadlines. In addition, you must be well-organised with good time-management skills & high attention to detail and you need to be respectful of confidentiality.
