An established and highly successful independent accountancy practice, with offices in the North East of England, is seeking a Corporate Financier to join their advisory team. This position is newly created and is the result of the ongoing performance of the current corporate finance team.
Main Duties:
As a Corporate Financier your responsibilities will include:
- Extensive forecasting and analytical work for the purposes of carrying out business valuations and financial modelling;
- Research for and production of reports, presentations and business plans;
- Preparation of key transactional documents (e.g. blind profiles, information memoranda, non-disclosure agreements);
- Review of legal documentation relating to transactions (e.g. heads of terms, sale of shares agreements);
- Liaison with clients, as required; and
- Ad hoc duties to support the successful conclusion of assignments.
The Corporate Finance team in its recent form is able to demonstrate high levels of growth in excess of the original business plans, despite difficult trading conditions in the wider economy. This has been achieved through a mixture of hard-work, innovation and strong application of business development strategies.
This well-respected firm of accountants has a broad range of clients across a diverse range of sectors including: sole-traders, partnerships, owner-managed businesses, limited companies and charities. Turnovers range from hundreds of thousands, into tens of millions of pounds, although the corporate finance team typically advise businesses with turnovers of £5m + and a transactional value of £2m - £10m.
Key Skills:
In order to be considered for the role of Corporate Financier you will need to have/ be:
- ACA/ ACCA qualified (or other CCAB);
- Previous experience within a Corporate Finance, Audit or professional services team;
- Strong analytical and modelling skills;
- A work ethic which is both passionate and committed; and
- An ability to meet deadlines and, where necessary commit as much additional time as required to see projects to fruition.
