We are currently working with a leading distribution company on recruiting a permanent contracts manager due to internal promotion.
Salary £45,000 with excellent career opportunities.

The role:

Key Deliverables:
- Achieve budget revenue and profit for the contract

- Meet existing Customer expectations on cost and service

- Work with the sales team to ensure new business is gained to fill any vacant space on site

- Work on tender proposals for generic new business opportunities

- Develop a contract succession and development plan to ensure continuity and meet business growth requirements

- Promote the company culture and vision within the contract and across the contract team

- Ensure maintenance, safety and security procedures are in place and monitored on a regular basis

- Promote best practice and benchmarking both within the contract and across the company in general

- Purchasing (materials/agency etc.) within budget limits
General Objectives
Taking action to ensure that Company policies and standards are implemented and maintained, particularly in respect of safety, property and security
To organise, implement and plan the training and development of all managers within the contract
Accountable for management across the contact ensuring all direct and indirect reports are appropriately trained to carry out their responsibilities to the required standards.
Develop excellent systems working knowledge and provide suitable training for staff to enable the delivery of agreed service levels.
To provide decisive and inspirational leadership to the contact team via a range of forums including meetings, one to ones, briefings etc.
Reinforce the commitment to process and performance management and the strong drive to meeting targets.
Contribute to the overall change programme, including driving behavioral change and demonstrating the new values and behaviors.
To develop a safety culture within the contract, ensuring the highest standards of safety are maintained in the work area.
Promoting best practice in the control of stock and acting as a mentor to the Warehouse and Administration personnel where required
Covering for other members of staff across other functions as circumstances require.
At all times maintain a visibly supportive attitude whilst maintaining disciplines and delivering the agreed service.
Analytical and accurate planning enabling effective execution of business demands
Manage holidays effectively and make sure we have cover for the demands of the customer.
To maintain effective communication with the customer and across the business in general, specifically:
a. General customer updates (sales, growth etc.)
b. Issues, highlighting cause and resolution
c. New business opportunities
d. Initiatives
Role Purpose-
To translate the Company's strategic vision into a day to day working model that promotes excellent customer service. Ensure the secure, timely and efficient operation of your contract, whilst continually seeking to improve procedures and processes to drive efficiency. Reduce costs whilst achieving high productivity standards and meeting service level commitments. Understand the wider business and Customer impact of issues and develop alternative approaches to problems through best practice and benchmarking. Communicate ideas and information honestly, clearly & persuasively and build productive relationships with colleagues both internally and externally. To focus on the customer and find ways to meet customer needs by translating strategy into practical day to day activities to fulfill and exceed business and budget requirements.
