Contracts Manager/AutoCAD Technician

As part of the drawing office team at Stoneman Engineering (SW) Ltd you will be:

• working within a busy office environment, and expected to manage your time based on workload following discussions with senior management.
• dealing direct with architects, structural engineers and clients to determine particular requirements.  Clients will range from Principle Contractors to the general public.
• carrying out site surveys to include site sketches and the preparation of a suitable and sufficient safe system of work (method statement and risk assessments).
• using the internal computer system, preparing quotations considering time and material for the client’s acceptance.  This will involve sourcing competitive prices for materials from our supplier chain.  Support will be given from senior management.
• expected to, upon acceptance of order from the client, prepare drawings suitable for client\architect\structural engineers approval.
• prepare drawings suitable for fabrication using AutoCAD.
• expected to liaise with office staff and client to determine suitable time for fabrication, and if applicable proposed installation dates.
• purchasing the necessary materials from our supplier chain.
• considering a safe system of work, seeing the job through our fabrication workshops dealing direct with the workshop floor supervisor, and fabrication engineers.  Assisting to ensure the job is progressed maintaining accuracy and quality.

Qualification/s

• Minimum 5 years experience in the engineering industry (fabrication and/or civil)
• Proven experience in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Software
• CSCS Card Holder (not essential)
