Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
To lead, supervise and administer all day-to-day commercial and contractual aspects of development of sub-contractor procurement.
To establish and strictly control project cost budgets.
Negotiate with subcontractors.
Work with the QS Team and Commercial Team, execute in a timely manner the tender process and also the administration of contracts including valuation of variations, claims, payments and final accounts, etc.
To facilitate the project management team on the contract terms, contractual rights and obligations as well as contracts administration procedures, etc.
To identify risks/problems of the project and provide professional advice on strategies and action measures to senior management.
Timely production of reports, bench marking summary and project updates in time and cost.
Develop and maintain quality control of the central filing system and the ongoing operations.
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline (RICS qualified preferred - not essential).
Proven contract management experience in a construction company, property developer or consultant.
Thorough technical knowledge and understanding of construction activities in corporate real estate development.
Familiar with applicable national/international standards, best practices, and workmanship in the construction work.
Independent, detail-minded and result-oriented.
Excellent in communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.
Proficient spoken and written English
Required to be stationed in India
Benefits:
Salary 12,000 US/month - local income tax to be covered by the client
Accommodation (One bedroom apartment) provided, + car and driver for travel to and from site office
Working hours - 5 days a week, 8am-6pm
Paid Leave: 2 weeks leave per month (plus 2 travelling days) every 4 months with flights paid - leave entitlement can be spread out and taken every 2 months if preferred - negotiable
