Continuous Improvement / Lean Specialist - Six Sigma Green Belt

Our client is a world class food manufacturer. They are looking for two experienced Continuous Improvement Specialists to join their Focused Improvement (FI) Team serving as a centre of expertise for the distribution, guidance and implementation of FI methodologies across the site with a view to analysing and eliminating losses. 

Your remit will be to undertake a number of Green Belt projects and oversee various White Belt projects at the Factory which is currently undergoing vast expansion. You will ensure desired results are achieved, the problem solving competence of factory members are developed whilst ensuring the standardisation of improvements are fully embedded. 

A passion for problem solving and a proven track-record of success is essential in these roles. You will have demonstrated your competence in DMAIC methodology, undertaking a number of Green Belt projects whilst leading through coaching White Belt projects. Ideally you will be Green Belt certified and have worked on a number of Green Belt projects within an FMCG or Production environment whilst being somebody who role models coaching behaviours.

You will work with people at all levels of the company - from factory management, to the operators that run the production lines and our technical staff. They will expect you to have the credibility and gravitas to influence and engage as you will need to build a rapport quickly with people. Being able to adjust your communication style to find the best ways of engagement is imperative.

It is essential that you come from a manufacturing background although this doesn’t have to be food or beverage manufacturing. You will also need to be a highly motivated self-starter as you will have the responsibility and accountability for driving and delivering against your projects.

Salary: £28,000 - £38,000 plus excellent benefits
