This vacancy is being advertised on behalf of TEMP-TEAM who are operating as an employment business.
Our client is currently looking for a Method Engineer to work in a busy foundry environment.
You will be expected to assist the Foundry Production Manager in improving quality within the Foundry.
Other duties will include calculation of feeder, riser and runner systems, optimising yields, reducing scrap and maximising metal to sand ratios.
You will aid in control of Patterns & Pattern Storage, determine sleeve sizes and best moulding practice for new patterns, complete sampling paperwork for new patterns and cast items.
Quality will also be a major part of your role as you will update quality records as required for method and quality issues, lead initiatives to improve quality and contribute to the scrap reduction to support OEE targets whilst generating and training SOP’s to shop floor based personnel.
