Capita Social Care and Housing are now recruiting enthusiastic and caring individuals to join our team of contact and escort workers in the Birmingham Area.

The role will involve working with Looked after Children, taking them to visit their parents and other relatives in a supervised and controlled environment and creating detailed factual reports of each session. Applicants should have experience of writing factual reports in a social care setting.

The role of the contact worker is to supervise contact sessions, ensuring the safety of the children, and writing factual reports of contact. The role will involve escorting children to and from the contact sessions and therefore a full UK driving licence is essential. applicants must also be a car owner covered for business purposes.

It is preferrable for applicants to hold an NVQ level 3 relevant to Social Care or Child Care Sectors.

Experience of working within the social care sector or with children is esential.The post is subject to enhanced CRB checks. The cost for the CRB must be met by the applicant.
