My client is looking for a versatile contracts manager who can look after a selection of ongoing maintenance and repair in the Berkshire are for their prestigious clients. Whilst their largest contract would be in the 300K range this is a very professional family business that thrives on quality and repeat on Blue Chip organisations.

Job Description

• Survey and assess all contracts and check value.
• Arrange work programme following daily meeting.
• Organise labour force.
• Supervise labour force.
• Liase with and control sub contractors.
• Keep homeowners informed.
• Meet NHBC on investigations.
• Record all variations.
• Measure completed work.
• Ensure materials available.
• Ensure yard is tidy and stock levels maintained.
• Health & Safety.
• Make decisions.

We are looking for an experienced candidate, and also due to the hours we are looking for someone who lives within a 30 mile radius. The job involves the control of a direct labour force of 12 men plus subcontractors. The candidate will be running around 30 contracts of various sizes. The candidte must be able to read drawings and specifications. Some estimating and surveying experience would be useful. The candidate must be able to manage people and jobs, work on their own initiative and have good communication skills. The candidate is expected to be professional and presentable.
