Eos Wealth Management Limited:
Eos is an IFA based in City Road in the City. There are 8 advisers and in total 22 members
of staff. The company has a joint venture with an accountancy practice located in Euston and operates a satellite office within this building. Three of the advisers are located here.
Most of the back-office support team is located in the City Road office which is where this role would be based.
The company deals with clients from the accountancy practice (mainly high net-worth) but also specialises in advising footballers.
Job Description:
- To assist the Compliance Manager in her role overseeing compliance;
- To undertake financial product and investment fund analysis in support of the Company’s preferred product list;
- To assist with the supervision of the administration team function; and
- To act on instruction from the Board to provide assistance within the business when and where necessary.
Main Duties:
- Desk based compliance monitoring and file checking in accordance with Company’s T&C scheme;
- Production of T&C key performance indicators and analysis in accordance with Company’s T&C Scheme;
- Managing the Company’s ongoing Treating Customers Fairly and principles based analysis and reporting;
- Updating procedure manuals in accordance with changes in regulation, legislation and Company’s risk management requirements;
- Anti-Money Laundering training;
- Complaints handling;
- Research and analysis of new products (incorporating documentation of due diligence process);
- Maintenance of the Company’s model fund lists;
- Updating of company wrap platform analysis;
- Production of template recommendation reports and maintenance of library of documents;
- Identification and implementation of business improvement strategies;
- Thematic reviews and projects to meet business needs;
- Provide assistance with staff recruitment;
- Responsibility for ongoing maintenance and development of the 1st back office system;
- Maintenance and checking of the Company’s asset, financial promotions and other registers;
- Assist Compliance Manager with FSA six-monthly returns; and
- Keeping up to date with regulatory and legislative changes.
Special Requirements:
- In depth knowledge of Financial Services Industry (at least 3 years IFA based experience);
- Previous compliance and supervisory experience;
- Working knowledge of the FSA Handbook;
- Broad product knowledge including unregulated products;
- Full FPC/Cefa/Certificate (progression with Diploma essential);
- Working Knowledge of 1st Software, Avelo, O&M and provider websites;
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially excel;
- Knowledge of FSA Regulations, IFA Compliance Procedures and IFA company sales processes;
- Good communication and influencing skills; and
- Advanced report writing skills.
