Compliance and Performance Officer

Salary:  circa £27,000

Location: Coventry, but travel is essential to all sites

The ExtraCare Charitable Trust is the pioneer of Village communities which enable people to enjoy active and independent lifestyles in their later years. Formed in 1988, we operate 30 supported housing schemes and retirement villages, promoting an enjoyable quality of life and independence.

We are currently recruiting for a Compliance and Performance Officer based at our Head Office in Coventry. This role will provide advice and guidance to the Operations Management team to maintain and develop service quality and best practice. The role will also identify gaps and provide solutions for the appropriate Head of Service in relation to compliance with external regulation bodies and internal policies and procedures.

Your role will be to assess compliance with Care Quality Commission (CQC), Tenants Services Authority (TSA), and Environmental Health standards and regulations. You will identify gaps across a variety of areas within the business and report them to Head of Service/Regional Manager, whilst working to find solutions to achieve and meet compliance in the best possible way.

To be considered for this role, you must have operational knowledge gained from working at a supervisory level in social care and/or housing.  You will be qualified to at least NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in health and social care or housing.  A QCF Diploma Level 5 in Leadership for Health and Social Care (England) or equivalent is preferable. You must be able to influence staff at all levels whilst understanding equality and diversity issues related to the service provision. A working knowledge of MS Office will also be required.


This role will involve travel and occasional overnight stays.
