Established in the early ‘90’s and with solid growth in both turnover and profit over the last 15 years, our client is now well established as the leading importer and wholesale distributor of specialist food supplements within the UK and across Europe. Recently acquired by a sizeable PLC they now have the backing and the support to capitalise on and leverage their position in this market. We are working closely with them to find a Company Accountant to fulfil all of their financial control and management reporting requirements.

As Company Accountant you will report directly into the Senior Management team and oversee the accurate and timely delivery of the company’s entire financial and management accounts both personally and with the help of two Accounts Clerks.  You will provide the parent company with ongoing reports on the business and will work with their Finance team to fulfil the company’s statutory, regulatory and year end obligations.

To succeed in this role it is ESSENTIAL that you:

• Are a qualified Accountant with 2+ years PQE – ideally gained within the import, wholesale, distribution or retail sectors.
• Have strong cash flow and treasury management experience.

• Have the ability to produce meaningful and insightful monthly management reports to support Senior Management decision making.

• Have a detailed understanding and practical experience of Sage.
• Are highly numerate with excellent PC skills (Excel especially).
