Commodity Manager required to join the Materials Planning team, within the Western Europe Supply Chain Service Centre.

A World renown, reputable company who have been operating successfully on an international basis for over 100 years.

Based from their Southampton office, this is a permanent position created through internal promotion.

As the Commodity Manager you will be accountable for a team of commodity Executives who will be maintaining the necessary level of stock to ensure the smooth production of FMCG product in Western Europe.

Very much a managerial position you will be required to:

* Monitor the work completed by and lead your team to continued success.

*Pick up any escalated problems, resolve them and help the team to learn from them.

*Look at ways to reduce working capital and wastage. Reduce Costs.

*Look at process improvement.

*Look at ways to improve the ordering systems.

*Perform customer reviews ensuring the factories are happy with service being provided.

*To make sure a continuous commercial education is provided to the business.

*To ensure the business is compliant with procurement policy and actively manage any compliance issues.

*Delivery of consistency within your team. Developing internal SLA's and monitoring against this performance.

Coming from a Supply Chain / Materials Planning, FMCG background you will proficient with SAP or similar ERP system.

Easily approachable we are looking for someone able to make decisions and share their view on business improvements.

The team are happy and this is a position is looking at improvements within the business as well as training your team to replace you as you climb the ladder. Next step for you is to join the Senior Leadership team.
