Job Description
The role involves the management of a multi functional team based in the commercial insurance division. It requires a leader or people who can coach, train, develop, motivate and mentor a growing team while maintaining familiarity with the technical aspects of commercial vehicle and taxi insurance.
The main responsibilities are:
• Shape, motivate and lead a multi functional department, providing a customer journey which exceeds expectation
• Provide leadership and direction, ensuring all KPI’s and business objectives are achieved
• Develop and evaluate management information to monitor performance and identify trends
• Provide coaching, support and feedback to enable staff to effectively carry out their role, while maximising development opportunities within the team
• Continually improve the performance and quality of all advisors by ensuring training needs are identified and addressed
• Support the Commercial Insurance Director with the development and implementation of initiatives/projects
• Assist in the development and maintenance of insurer relationships
• Build and maintain good relationships with other business areas to promote best practice and create an environment orientated to trust, open communication and team working
• Monitor quality assessments and ensuring compliance with company and FSA requirements
Person Specification
• Be able to demonstrate an ability to motivate and manage a high performance team
• Have at least 5 years motor insurance experience, preferably within a broking environment
• Be able to demonstrate experience in development, coaching and succession planning of staff
• Be qualified to a minimum of CII Certificate level
• Have strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload and perform multiple tasks with excellent attention to detail in a fast paced environment
• Have excellent verbal / written communication, presentational and analytical skills and the ability and confidence to liaise at all levels
