Talented, ambitious Commercial Show Manager required to take the helm of an iconic large-scale consumer homes show brand & develop the overall direction & commercial remit of the show in the Scottish region.

We own & produce the world’s biggest homes show - an iconic home-interest consumer exhibition brand which made its Scottish debut in 2011. We’re now looking for a talented, ambitious Commercial Show Manager to manage & develop a sales team & take the helm of the overall direction & commercial remit of the Scottish show.
We are one of the UK's leading media owners, offering real career progression in a vibrant, creative environment. This role can be based in Glasgow (ideal location) or Edinburgh, depending upon the location of the successful candidate.
ABOUT YOU & THE ROLE:
You will have substantial experience in media sales management - exhibitions, trade shows, other live events, print, ambient or broadcast media. You will have valuable experience in designing and implementing an effective sales strategy and building and developing a highly motivated sales team. You must have experience in winning & account-managing high-profile, high-value accounts across several sectors.
You are accomplished and assured in presenting to clients and media buying agencies. You take a creative, inventive approach in growing exhibitor and sponsorship clients and will work collaboratively with marketing & sponsorship teams to maximise compelling features and brand development opportunities for the show.
You will apply geographical & cultural insight to attune a media brand to its region, engaging with specifically relevant exhibitors, sponsors, brand ambassadors & show content. You will have the commercial acumen, insight & expertise to launch & develop a growing portfolio of large-scale consumer exhibitions in the Scottish region.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage & develop a team of telesales & field sales executives
- Design & implement a sales plan & strategy
- Add substantial value to exhibitor & sponsorship revenue streams by winning & developing high-value, high-profile accounts
- Liaise effectively with marketing, sponsorship & features teams to develop show content.
- Contribute to the account management of key sponsors & exhibitors, growing their creative and commercial commitment to the show
- Build the brand profile & market share of the Scottish show-brand using insight to engage with specifically relevant exhibitors, sponsors and features.
- Implementing all of the above, blueprint the launch of a portfolio of large-scale consumer events in the Scottish region.
