The Company
Our client is a global FMCG organisation with a real 'can do' culture where the customer is at the forefront of the business. Their customer base includes leading multinational and national retailers who demand a consistent and efficient service and product quality. Our client is currently looking to appoint a commercially orientated Commercial Finance Business Partner based in Greater Manchester who will be a business partner to the commercial team, driving performance through insightful challenge and support, to enable effective pricing, tendering and customer investment decisions and drive shareholder value.
The Role
The purpose and remit of the Commercial Finance Business Partner role:-
* Business partnering the Business Unit Controllers to drive sales and margin growth in line with strategy
* Build visibility and profile within the commercial finance team as a valued business partner
* Assess tenders and joint business plans, agreeing margin with the commercial team
* Forecasting and analysis
* Proactive in driving performance via insight about opportunities, improve efficiency or manage risk
* Ability to influence and challenge the status quo
* Understand the customer P&L and the drivers of customer and product
* Lead the budgeting and forecasting process
* Review and approve pricing and promotions
* Customer and competitor analysis
The Candidate
The Commercial Finance Business Partner experience and qualifications required:-
* ACA or ACCA or ACMA qualified with a minimum of 2-3 years PQE
* A 2:1 degree or above in a numerical discipline
* Previous experience within an FMCG or customer facing environment preferred
* Ability to communicate complex financial data to both finance and non finance colleagues
* Highly analytical with strong attention to detail
* Strong team player
* Proactive, always looking to challenge and improve processes
* Customer facing ( internal and external )
* Commercial
* Confident communicator
* Highly computer literate including experience of a fully integrated ERP system ie SAP
The Reward
