Commercial Claims Handler

A new vacancy has arisen in Bradford within this long established independent brokerage for a Commercial Claims Handler.  The role will involve assisting in the presentation, negotiation and settlement of commercial claims.  Taking details of the claim from the client and arranging for the appropriate claim form to be sent.  Assisting in the completion of the form where necessary in order for this to be forwarded to the insurer together with any supporting documentation.  Liaising closely with the Account Executives and/or Loss Adjusters if appropriate in order to progress the claim, which can involve client visits or insurers visits where required.  Providing claims history and statistics for renewal negotiations.

Prospective applicants must have a minimum of 5 years experience in all commercial classes with a strong bias on motor fleets but additional knowledge of property, liability and transit claims would be an advantage.  Ideal applicants will have a broker claims background but insurer trained candidates will be considered.  This is an excellent opportunity for career progression.
