The Role:
- To interrogate and interpret client data from activities and/with other data to provide innovative insights into clients business.
- To deliver added value reporting which benefits clients in their understanding of their market, and channels to market, resulting in increased payback on tactical implementation of plans.
- To meet the needs of clients by regular review of their business needs in conjunction with Client Service and Operations to give actionable information that challenges client’s business models.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to upgrade methodologies, utilise best-in-class tools and introduce new products which will add value to our clients.
Principal Accountabilities:
- To develop and deliver added value reporting to clients through interpretation of data and information.
- To identify and execute opportunities to improve the methodologies of analytical products, and deliver more innovative insights into clients business through regular or ad-hoc reporting.
- Provide quantifiable measures for payback to client on all activities.
- To review capabilities with IT and Projects team to deliver flexible systems and tools which minimise human resources and maximise the use of technology. Pro-actively investigate future tools and systems which will improve effectiveness of the team.
- To train and develop Data Analysts to ensure the team has a flexible and transferable pool of analytical resource, which can tackle a variety of tasks and deliver high quality outputs for clients.
Who we're looking for: We are looking for someone with previous commercial experience within analytical sales or marketing roles within a retail environment. Skills and experience required include:
- Good presentation skills across all media to senior management level both internally and externally
- Proven experience in using or undertaking market research
- Ability to assimilate data quickly and draw conclusions and alternatives from information provided
- Ability to understand databases e.g. MS Access; Oracle; SQL
- Expertise in the use of reporting techniques
- Working knowledge of web reporting
- Proven IPS, persuasive and negotiation skills
- Proven project management skills
- Educated to degree (or equivalent) level
