Commercial Accountant - Temp to Perm

Located in the heart of Essex our client, a global engineering business is seeking a CIMA / ACCA finalist or QBE to undertake this highly commercial role.

Reporting directly to the Commercial Controller this newly created role has a purpose to provide financial support and guidance to the non-financial managers. 

Key Responsibilities

• Complete monthly accounts for all assigned small trading operations and projects
• Preparation of monthly financial reports, reporting on current status, future projections and variance analysis to budget/rolling forecast
• Additional reports to include cash-flow projections & risk
• Monitor contracts and ensure that all customer billings / contract variations are raised & logged in an accurate and timely fashion. Update Project Manager on status of customer payments
• Provide financial/commercial support to UK bids team
• Assist commercial managers in completing complex price breakdowns for project tenders
• Complete cash-flow forecasts for any significant bids and tenders
• Completion of Post Project Financial Reviews of completed projects outlining budget differences and reasons from original plan and feedback into Commercial Environment

 Candidates will have strong financial reporting experience with exposure communicating results with non-finance.  You must have outstanding communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels throughout a business.  You will have strong IT skills, reporting writing ability and advanced Excel.
