Skills Specification: You will be a skilled Mechanical Inspector or CMM Inspector, from an Aerospace,Medical,   Manufacturing machine shop, or sheet metal work shop type background, used to working in a department where continuous improvement methods are used.
Further to this, you should have a good working knowledge of Calibration of Mechanical Inspection tools, which may include Verniers, Calipers, Micrometers, Shadow Graphs, Talleyronds and coordinate measuring machines or CMM machines.
You will be able to document and record all necessary technical information for inspection, and will be able to demonstrate and working knowledge of the close tolerances and machined finishes that are expected within the aerospace manufacturing environment.

The Role: You will be working in a Medical  Manufacturing environment within the Mechanical Inspection department, where you will be Inspecting parts to the tight tolerances expected of the medical Industry. You will be responsible for calibration of conventional and CMM inspection tools, and other duties to aid to the continuous improvement and lean manufacturing environment within the business.

Useful experience Ideally, although not essentially, you will have served an Engineering Apprenticeship, and will have a good working knowledge of lean manufacturing methods. You should also ideally be able to work to detailed aerospace component drawings and have a knowledge of aerospace heat treating and plating processes.
