The Role
Our client is looking for a Business Development Manager who is highly energetic and motivated to join their existing sales team. Direct sales experience is also required. Applicants must have a strong customer focus, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well both collaboratively and independently. A proven track record of over-achieving against target is also a requirement.
The position is a "hands-on" client-facing role, and when in front of prospects and clients this individual will represent the company brand and values. The candidate will be a highly ambitious self starting individual who understands that their success is their responsibility.
Responsibilities
• Identification and qualification of revenue generating opportunities within the target prospect base.
• Management of the sales process both externally and internally through to a successful close.
• Deliver to an annual sales target and monthly/quarterly objectives.
• Report on activities and provide relevant management information.
Requirements
• Cloud and Data archiving / backup / storage sales experience
• Experience selling Managed Services, Support Services or Professional Services
• A demonstrable track record of over-achieving against sales target
• Demonstrable lead generation skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to conceptualise a value proposition to the target audience
• Excellent presentation skills
• The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and deadlines
• Establish and maintain prospect and client contacts at all levels
