Trial Balance Consulting have been exclusively retained by our client; a leading North Cornwall based firm of Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers. The firm is currently enjoying a very healthy level of success in the region and is subsequently seeking to recruit an experienced Client Manager to join their friendly team.

The candidate:

Our client will be seeking applicants who can demonstrate a minimum of three years of recently gained experience within an accountancy practice. There is a degree of flexibility where formal qualification is concerned, though we would expect applicants to be qualified to AAT level as a minimum, with professionally qualified Chartered/Certified being the ideal. Our client tends to think out of the box where person specifications are concerned and will consider applications from those who hold no formal qualification but are able to demonstrate a strong qualified by experience background.

Each client manager is responsible for:

Managing a client portfolio and ensuring the practice is giving an outstanding service.

Managing their workload to ensure that targets are met.

We seek candidates who have experience in providing a variety of accounting services, advice and assistance, covering accounts, VAT, bookkeeping, payroll, tax, P11d`s. You will be the clients` first and main point of contact for all client care activities.
The tasks:

To plan, organise and manage all work for your portfolio ensuring key performance indicators with regard to recovery, productivity and job turnaround are achieved. Agree the time budget for all accounts preparation, bookkeeping and VAT work for each client.

Preparation of management and financial accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, using agreed policies, principles and procedures.
The successful applicant will also be responsible for advising clients in respect of their tax affairs, identifying opportunities to save tax, making clients aware of those opportunities and delivering the advice given.
Preparation of P11d`s as required
Preparation of VAT returns and bookkeeping as required.
All other accounting, taxation, VAT, payroll or associated work that may be required from time to time.
Meet with clients regularly in order to develop a strong relationship and loyalty to the practice.
Managing and organizing your own work schedule and workflow, to ensure that all goals and objectives are achieved.
