We currently have an exciting opportunity in our Wickford office for a Claims Advocate. This role is primarily responsible for providing claims advocacy services to clients through the analysis and management of complex claims scenarios. The successful candidate will also be working with the core business units developing existing client relationships and business opportunities. As a Claims Advocate your key responsibilties will include: Analysis of claims, pro-active advice on potential coverage both pre and post notification, policy application and conflicts Assist the client in understanding and presenting difficult claims to insurers Assist in the investigation of claims and losses in conjunction with the Insured and insurers' representatives including legal advisors and adjusters Direct discussions with insurers, including excess insurers as dictated by quantum potential Negotiate contentious claims with insurance market face to face and secure coverage confirmation Attend mediations to provide advice and input on the insurance angle as dictated by quantum potential Provide profiling and risk management advice to client following review of operations and claims history Meet regularly with claims managers on facilities to ensure service levels are met Analyse and amend policy wordings as necessary and work with placing brokers to influence the insurance market in relation to wordings and settlements Participate in business tenders, both new and existing Prepare and produce briefings on publicized relevant litigation and key claims issues for both internal and external use Identify, monitor and report on claims trends as well as insurers' willingness to pay for data capture purposes Be aware of possible reciprocation opportunities for and with clients And any other duties as requested by business management As a Claims Advocate your key skills will include: Comprehensive technical knowledge Relationship Building Previous claims and client/relationship management experience Previous experience in managing claims against a variety of professional risks including PI, casualty, Financial Services and D&O.
