Civil CAD Technician - HERTFORDSHIRE - £20-24,000

My client is an established independent consultancy that offers a range of services across the structural and civil engineering markets and a fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Civil CAD Technician to join a busy and expert team.

As a Civil CAD Technician you will hold many responsibilities and work on a variety of highways and drainage projects from a range of public and private sector clients. You will, examine preliminary design drawings with the guidance of a Civil Engineer and help produce practical and buildable road and drainage drawings using relevant tools such as AutoCAD and PDS. The team works on a variety of highways and drainage projects, and produce quality transport assessments and travel plans.

The ideal Civil CAD Technician will have an academic background in Civil Engineering with ideally 2+ years post graduate experience of roads and drainage using AutoCAD with an excellent understanding of other technical software such as PDs or ARCADY desirable. You will have a good understanding of highways standards and road safety audits. You will work well with others and as part of a busy and successful team.
