Chief Operating Officer - £75K - Luxury Food producer


Our client, a small but highly successful international family business is looking to bring a new COO on board to oversee the efficient running and continuing success of the logistics, production planning and administrative functions of the luxury beverage subsidiary of their business. Working closely with the Group Chairman, the successful candidate will have a key role in the development and implementation of operational strategies to support and enhance the business moving forward.


Some of the elements of the role include:


· Complete a five-year Business Plan for approval by the Board and monitor future activities against the plan.


· Assist the CFO in preparing and managing budgets


· Controlling costs on all purchasing activities.


· Managing the logistics and production planning department including warehouse management.


· Analyse stock levels, expiry dates, product shipping and forward planning.


· Co-ordinating with the Sales and Marketing department on all activities.


· Co-ordinating with CFO on pricing strategies.


· Taking responsibility for I.T. control systems specific to the business.


· Recruiting for all posts that report into COO.


· Responsible for the opening and staffing of all new overseas offices.


· Attending monthly management meetings with the Chairman and senior team and ensuring departmental implementations.


The chosen candidate will have a minimum of 15 years commercial experience and a minimum of 5 years within the FMCG market. Alongside precise sector experience, the right attitude and skill set is key to your success in this position. Excellent communication skills, financial acumen and a flexible but dynamic approach is essential.
