EEEGR (East of England Energy Group) is the region's industry led energy association with rising membership of more than 350. It has a strong programme of activities for promoting the energy sector and supply chain across the region. It was recently involved in winning Enterprise Zone status for Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth and in Government designation of the area as a Centre for Renewable Offshore Engineering. It is also an active partner with the public sector in attracting investment into the region. Its Skills for Energy Programme is cited by Government as "the exemplar for what other regions should be doing". With its CEO moving on to an executive management appointment in industry, EEEGR is seeking to appoint a CEO to be its lead representative.
The Role
It is to lead EEEGR, ensuring that it meets member needs in accordance with agreed strategy and business plans; for assisting in increasing members business.
You will bring passion to a leading industry group, which is pivotal in the exciting and growing energy sector (with some £50bn of investment opportunities). This will be achieved through engaging people and stakeholder organisations, sharing visions, and facilitating synergy by bringing people together with common purpose.
The role will encompass: establishing and communicating the vision and goals, reporting to board on plans and performance, leading and implementing membership growth strategy, managing a great team, and building a sustainable business through securing stakeholder and third party investment.
Applicant credentials:
- Entrepreneurial, natural networker and business developer
- Senior executive, gravitas and experienced at operating at senior levels
- Track record in energy and/or trade membership association and/or key account management
- Strong financial skills and income generation experience
- Knowledge of business and economic landscape of East of England
- Strong at relationship management
