Chef/Supervisor

Our client is currently recruiting for a Chef/Supervisor to join their catering team. This is an exciting opportunity to work for an organisation who really value their staff and provide a flexible working life-style.

The key responsibilities of the role will include:
- Working 3 evenings a week as chef for the evening opening
- Working 2 days a week supervising front of house
- Supervising a medium size restaurant, tea room and a small third outlet
- Be responsible for the kitchen, including cooking, baking and the food that is delivered to site
- Be responsible for suppliers orders on a daily basis as well as completion of weekly/monthly stock taking/stock control and all relevant paperwork
- Assist in menu planning
- Assist and aid development of events/functions/ evenings as required
- Ensure deliveries are checked, recorded and stored
- Providing first rate customer service
- Maintaining high levels of food hygiene
- Promoting and developing team work
- Financial control
- Managing budgets and achieving cost savings

In return you will work a 37.5 hour week with NO SPLIT SHIFTS. You will need to have the flexibility to work bank holidays and weekends.

The successful candidate will require the following:
- Intermediate food hygiene certificate
- Understanding of Health & Safety
- Experience of the catering industry
- Experience of function catering
- Interest in locality & catering industry
- Computer literate
- Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail
- Experience of supervising in catering environment is desirable
- Good customer service skills
- Good communicator
- Team player
