To lead and manage a team maximising delivery of provision, provide quality learning to learners, whilst achieving all company targets including at least a Grade 2 during self assessment and inspection.
Ensure personal learner achievement rates are meeting business objectives.
Contribute to overall business achievement targets by providing support to staff
Identify development needs of self and individuals and provide support
Duties:
- Ensure all targets regarding weeks delivered, progression, achievement and retention are met.
- Ensure all SFA, YPLA and OFSTED related documentation is completed in line with contractual agreements and amendments are made accordingly.
- Ensure all ILR’s and claim summaries are completed within set timescales.
- Complete weekly reports accurately and in line with weekly deadlines.
- Ensure reviews are monitored weekly and completed with prescribed time limits.
- Ensure all strands of foundation learning programmes are delivered.
- Ensure RARPA is integrated within the foundation learning programme.
- Provide support to learners with social problems and learning difficulities.
- Support learners with Functional Skills, job search and attendance.
- Maintain links with external organisations i.e. Connexions and all other support agencies.
- Chair staff meetings once a month.
- Ensure low risk bandings are awarded during health and safety and financial / quality audits.
- Ensure expenses and learner payments discretionary support fund and travel are all completed and in accordance with guidelines.
- Ensure Learner Responsive centre is awarded a Grade 2 as minimum during the internal self assessment and during the Ofsted inspections.
- Ensure the centre develops in line with quality improvement plans.
- Attend appropriate quality assurance meetings.
- Give IAG and sign post were appropriate, specifically staff and learner welfare.
- Ensure all company targets are met.
- Have a good understanding of the Common Inspection Framework.
- Assist in the writing, design and development of programmes / courses and training manuals.
Criteria
Must have a minimum of 2 years previous experience within Foundational Learning
Essential:
Strong People Management Skills
Relevant experience working with Young adults
Knowledge and understanding of organisations such as Connexions, SFA & YPLA.
Ability to communicate at all levels.
Ability to use own initiative.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Ability to work to deadlines.
Ability to empathise with young adults and conduct one’s self as a positive role model.
Desirable:
Experience in work based learning
NVQ in Management or equivalent qualification.
Strong leadership qualifications
Able to plan, lead and implement change.
Can encourage and guide staff concerning innovation.
Ability to set smart goals targets for staff.
