Leading franchise group is looking for a footwear expert to be appointed at their head office as Buying Director of Footwear. We are looking for an individual who is truly passionate about footwear and is recognised in the field as an international expert.
You will be responsible for leading all aspects of buying and merchandising, providing strategic vision to your team, driving merchandising plans and strategies that will in turn underlay key seasonal initiatives.
Responsibilities will include:
*Setting financial standards and goals for the category, maximising resources to optimise
revenue and profitability
*Partnering and influencing strategic planning and budgeting processes
*Communicating category strategies, vision and business results to senior leadership and
regional teams
*Briefing global categories through consumer insight, influencing product creation
*Driving balanced, effective product assortments
*Leading monthly forecasting for sales and inventory
*Integrating business objectives and overall company vision into every day working
activities
To be successful in the role you will come from a strong footwear background with a proven track record in leadership with experience in product related areas such as product creation, buying, or merchandising for apparel, footwear or equipment. We are looking for someone with expert knowledge of retail buying and/or wholesale merchandising who has the ability to work in a matrix environment with very much a "can-do" attitude.
